| Customer Reviews: Gluten free diet January 17, 2010 Glenda Norman (Silicon Valley,CA) My Mom was just diagnosed and had to give up gluten. I went on line because she loves pasta so much- to find something else she could use. I read the reviews and decided to try this product. I bought it and sent it to her. I called her to be on the watch for it in the mail. When she got it, she tried it right away and told me how much she really liked it! She recomends this product to anyone who needs to be on a gluten free diet!
Schar Spaghetti December 26, 2009 Lorraine L. Gould (Aurora, IL) The "pasta" had a decent texture when eaten quickly, but lost texture quickly if the dish sat or was reheated. Overall good flavoe and I would buy it again.
Great Pasta! November 1, 2009 L. Ritchey (Havre, MT) Loved the texture and flavor of this spagghetti! Would recommend to anyone, even if not gluten intolerant!
A gift for the glutenly challenged October 14, 2009 A. Vieceli (Middle of North America) I really have no choice I have Celiac disease and have to eat gluten free. I do have vast experience with rice, corn, and even chick pea pasta. Schar is by far the best I have tasted. It like all non-wheat pastas has a narrow window for aldente cooking but when you hit it there is really very little to distinguish it from a good quality wheat pasta.
Best yet! September 16, 2009 JustJoan (Kentucky, United States) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I've tried many GF noodles. I was a fan of Tinkyada until I tried this Schar's product. Everyone in the family (gluten free and not gluten free) found Schar's to taste most like 'real' spaghetti noodles. The color is like an egg noodle, but the taste is like regular noodles. I also like that it takes less time to cook than Tinkyada.
