Product Description Meet Adam - a young boy with AS. Adam invites young readers to learn about AS from his perspective. In this book, Adam helps children understand the difficulties faced by a child with AS; he tells them what AS is, what it feels like to have AS and how they can help children with AS by understanding their differences and appreciating their many talents. Great for helping people understand the basics of Asberger Syndrome August 30, 2010 Mark A. McMurray This book is great for helping people get a basic understanding of what Asberger Syndrome is. Its great for helping a child who has AS understand the things that are hard for them, while also assuring them that they are not the only ones who struggle in some kinds of situations. We actually went through it with our son, and then gave a copy to his teacher and our family, so they could also understand the issues he faces. This allows them to be much more understanding and helpful in practical ways. Its a very easy read (about 10 minutes), but presents the information very well. We highly recommend this book!
Can i tell you about Asperger Syndrom? A guide for friends and family July 4, 2010 SNK I liked the book. It was very helpful. Glad i ordered it. I would reccomend it.
What a great book July 3, 2010 Loralee We just got a copy of this book at the library, and after reading it, I will be purchasing it. I really think it will help our family and friends have a better understanding about what AS is. My son is 7 1/2, and was diagnosed with AS last summer. This book has really helped me understand a bit more about him, and how he perceives things, and sees the world. I thought I understood what AS was, but this just really broke it down into simpler way of understanding it, and I feel like I'm finally really getting what he's going though, and how I can help him. We've also been struggling with how to tell our son what AS is, as well as his siblings, I think this book will help immensely, and I'm very thankful I found it. I think it will also help when school starts up, so I may get another copy to give to the school. :)
