delicious and low carb May 11, 2010 S.A. (Southeastern MI USA) Very delicious vegetarian entree. As with many prepared foods, this is kind of heavy on sauce and low on vegetable content. This works well if you are pouring over rice. If you are trying to stay low carb, this is an excellent entree - just add more cashews and some more steamed vegetables. Very low net carbs. Delicious.
was great till the hair... =/ January 30, 2010 K. Vader (usa) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
made in India... I guess they have a lax FDA. Because I found a nasty (human?) hair in my Jaipur Vegatables.
It tasted ok till that, then I wanted to barf. For how expensive these are... one would hope for a bit higher quality, as in no mammal hair.
Not their best product. January 4, 2010 Claire (Dallas, TX) Jaipur Vegetables is not their best offering. Instead I would recommend Madras Lentils, Punjab Eggplant, Beans Masala & Basmati Rice Meal, Channa Masala and if you like hot and spicy try Bombay potatoes too. I wouldn't recommend the Jaipur Vegetables or the Vegetable Korma or Kashmir Spinach.
Warning! Highly addictive October 6, 2009 esanta (San Jose, CA USA) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is the second Tasty Bite Indian entree I try and, just like the Madras Lentils, it's a winner. The taste is creamy, rich and flavorful, spicy but not too spicy. It's maybe a little more greasy than it needs to be, but the nutritional content breakdown reveals a fairly healthy entree.
The portion is reasonable, but not large (fills up a small bowl).
I wish Tasty Bite would make an effort and reduce the excessive packaging (each single portion is contained in a plasticized foil bag packaged inside a thick cardboard box), but as far as the food itself is concerned, this is a five star product. I can't wait to try the other Tasty Bite entrees now!
