The best I've found so far July 19, 2008 Peg (Pinckney, MI United States) I have tried several yeast and wheat free mixes and receipes, but this is the best. The taste and texture are very good. It does rise nicely without yeast and makes a good sandwich. Amazon's price is the best I have found anywhere. The top does brown quickly, so I put foil over it when it looks to be getting brown. You cannot go by looks if it is done, I made that mistake and it was doughy inside. I now test with a wooden skewer to make sure it comes out clean. Even my husband who has no problem with wheat or yeast likes this mix.
gluten free bread mix January 2, 2008 Diane Black (Raton, NM USA) Having tried many breads that are gluten free, this is the absolute best! I use there recipe with yeast. Other members in my family that are celiac love it too!!! Our only problem, is Amazon is out of it and there is no place close that we can get it. I would have rated it 10 stars if I could.
THANK YOU!!!! September 14, 2007 Thomas J. Huber (Columbia, TN United States) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I've been a celiac for many years now and missed bread the most. This stuff is GREAT! Real hamburger buns in half an hour; bread, good enough just to slice off the loaf, which will still taste good the following day, plain amazing! Thank you Amazon for finding and carrying this line of products. T J Huber
Best gluten-free bread September 11, 2007 jc (missouri) This beats all other gluten-free bread for taste and consistency. It is quick, easy and delicious!
Our Gluten Free Bread of Choice September 3, 2007 C. Clevenger (somewhere out there) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
We've been gluten free and yeast free for a few years now. In the beginning we couldn't find a bread that resembled "real" bread. Then we tried this mix. The first week we had it we went into bread overload - made french toast, toast and eggs, sandwiches, everything we'd been wanting for the last few years. It was wonderful. I fill mini baking dishes, sprinkle it with sesame seed and use it to make hamburger buns. We prefer it hot from the oven or toasted for sandwiches, Very simple, too, just add water (that's it) beat for 3 minutes in mixer and you have 2 loaves of bread 40 minutes later. Just spent the day driving around to our local health food stores for it but they were all out. Amazon's cheaper anyway and has free shipping on this item.
